Renewable Energy Used More Than Nuclear: Renewable energy sources such as solar, biomass, wind, geothermal and hydro account for nearly 10% of U.S. energy supplies, according to a report by Public Citizen, a consumer-advocacy group founded by Ralph Nader. That is 23% more energy than produced by nuclear power, the report said.
