Golfer Voorhees Third in Junior Tournament

Heidi Voorhees of North Hollywood shot a six-over-par 148 Wednesday and is in third place after the first round of the girls’ division of the USF&G; Junior Classic golf tournament at English Turn Golf and Country Club in New Orleans.

Studio City’s Emilee Klein is fourth at 78-74--152.

Maria Castellucci of Orlando, Fla., leads with a 74-72--146 and Shani Roth of Pepper Pike, Ohio, is second at 73-74--147.
