An El Cajon car mechanic was in critical condition at a local hospital Thursday night after being shot in the face Wednesday night at the auto shop where he worked.
Jeffrey Wise, 27, was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday, said Sgt. Steve Wood, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Allen Lowry, 40, who also worked as a mechanic at the auto shop on Greenfield Drive, in connection with the shooting, Wood said. He said police did not know the motive for the shooting.
