‘Father-Bashing’ or Worthwhile Insight?

I want to commend The Times for printing the first person article by Eric J. Adams on Father’s Day showing that not everyone is able to celebrate this occasion.
As a child of alcoholic parents, I realized many years ago that I would not make a good mother since I did not have a proper role model. In the case of inheriting bad genes, I would not want to make a child of mine go through the nights of yelling and beatings that I experienced.
