EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Duke Marvel scored his first lifetime win in a New Jersey Sires Stakes event for freshman trotting colts at the Meadowlands on Tuesday night.
Driven by Robert Williams, the 2-year-old son of Workaholic finished in 2:00 4/5, defeating United Colors by 2 1/2 lengths. Spring Affair, an 89-1 shot, was third.
