Kevin Mackey, Cleveland State University basketball coach, was arrested accused of drunken driving charge and a female companion was charged with heroin possession, police said.
The name of Mackey’s companion wasn’t immediately released by police. Mackey’s arrest came two days after he signed a two-year contract to coach Cleveland State through the 1991-92 season. His seven-year record with the Vikings is 144-67.
