The stepbrother of former Loyola Marymount basketball star Hank Gathers was sentenced to 17 1/2 years in prison in connection with a Philadelphia bank robbery last year.
In sentencing Christopher Marable, 26, U.S. District Judge Joseph McGlynn Jr. rejected a tearful plea by Marable’s mother, Lucille Gathers.
