A Clairemont man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder Tuesday morning after his wife was shot during an argument, a police reported.
Investigators said William Joseph Hine, 34, a truck driver, is accused of shooting his 26-year-old wife, Sabrina, at the couple’s home in the 3300 block of Apache Avenue.
“The husband and wife had apparently been arguing and later struggling over a .357 Magnum,” said Bill Robinson, a San Diego Police Department spokesman.
Sabrina Hine was shot “near the top of the head,” said Robinson, and taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where she was listed in serious but stable condition Tuesday evening.
An investigation is continuing, Robinson said.
