Rob Megill has been hired to coach baseball at Los Alamitos High School, replacing Mike Gibson, who resigned in June.
Megill, 38, coached the past three seasons at Loara and had a 34-42 record. Loara went 15-7 and finished fourth in the Empire League last season.
Before coaching at Loara, Megill spent five seasons (1977-81) as an assistant coach at Brea-Olinda and one season (1982) as the Wildcats’ co-head coach. He also was an assistant at Lynwood for four years (1973-76).
