The Region : 9 Named to Water Agency

Three key water districts in the San Gabriel Valley have appointed nine of the 11 members of the commission heading the new Main San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority, an agency set up to help with the cleanup of underground pollution.
These nine members, meeting for the first time today in El Monte, will consider the appointment of the final two commission members, both recommended by the Main San Gabriel Basin Watermaster. The watermaster board has recommended its chairman, Linn E. Magoffin, and vice chairman, Reginald Stone.
Appointees from the San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District are board members Don Clark and Leory Moeller and General Manager Bob Stallings. The Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District appointed board members Burton E. Jones and Royall Brown and General Manager Robert G. Berlien. From the Three Valleys Municipal Water District are Bruce Milne, William H. Koch and General Manager Richard W. Hansen.
