T-Bill Yields Rise at Weekly Auction: The Treasury Department auctioned $9.24 billion of 13-week bills at an average discount of 7.41%, up from 7.23% last week and the highest since the 7.5% yield July 30. The government also sold $9.21 billion of 26-week bills at an average discount of 7.31%, up from 7.19% last week, the highest since the 7.37% rate of July 30. The investment rate was 7.66% on 13-week bills at an average price of $9,812.70 per $10,000 face value, with the yield on 26-week bills at 7.70% and an average price of $9,630.40 per $10,000.
