Fillmore 26, Pater Noster 0--Running backs Jon Alvarado and Val Pillado combined for 165 yards and three touchdowns to lead Fillmore past host Pater Noster.
Pillado gained 87 yards in 14 carries and capped a seven-play drive late in the first quarter with a three-yard scoring run.
After the ensuing kickoff, Fillmore stopped Pater Noster in four plays and set up a short drive that ended when Alvarado ran two yards for the first of his two touchdowns. His other touchdown came on a one-yard run late in the first half.
Pater Noster quarterback Mike Avalos completed four of eight passes on the Eagles’ next possession to push the ball to the Fillmore five-yard line. The drive was stopped when defensive back Steve Clinton made a diving interception in the end zone.
Junior wide receiver Ray Garnica scored Fillmore’s final touchdown on an eight-yard run on the final play of the third quarter.
