Fund Operator Increases Stake in TransWorld

A New York mutual fund operator said it raised its stake in TransWorld Bancorp of Sherman Oaks to 5.2% of the bank holding company’s stock.
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Fenimore Asset Management Inc., based in Cobleskill, N.Y., said it bought an additional 5,905 shares of TransWorld, whose main unit is TransWorld Bank.
Fenimore bought the shares beginning last March for between $12 and $14 a share, the filing said.
