Robert Schulberg; Radio Executive

Robert Schulberg, a writer and radio advertising executive, has died. He was 70.
Schulberg died Sunday at his Los Angeles Home of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, a rare degenerative disease of the brain.
Born in New York City and educated at Union College, Schulberg served as an airborne infantry officer in World War II and was a press officer at the Potsdam Conference.
He was the author of “Radio Advertising: The Authoritative Handbook,” and had been western marketing director of CBS Radio Representatives since 1975. Schulberg also wrote Tuned In, a monthly radio newsletter, and had written several travel pieces which appeared in the Los Angeles Times and elsewhere.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his mother, Emma, of New York; a son, a daughter and a sister.
The family has asked that any memorial contributions be made to the UCLA School of Medicine, Aging and Dementia Research Program, Department of Neurology.
