California IN BRIEF : VALLEJO : Porpoise Stranded on Beach Dies

A young female porpoise that was found on a Santa Cruz beach died Saturday, two weeks after she was washed up on shore with injuries and in distress. The porpoise, named Truda, died at Marine World Africa USA in Vallejo where it had been kept in a holding tank since Oct. 6.
