Autoplex Construction: Cardinal Development Co., Newport Beach, says it has started construction of its ninth automotive shopping center in Southern California, in Tustin.
The 28,000-square-foot Tustin Avenue Autoplex will have a tire store, lube service, brake shop, mechanic shop, glass store, a Honda repair shop and fast-food restaurants.
Such car-care centers are becoming increasingly common in Southern California.
The center is a joint venture with Beacon Bay Enterprises Inc., Newport Beach, the county’s largest operator of car washes, which owns the site.
