Franchisees Sue Popeyes: A group of franchise owners in 20 states has sued the owner of the Popeyes Famous Fried Chicken chain. The franchisees contend that Al Copeland violated state and federal antitrust laws by forcing them to purchase products from his companies. The suit asks that Copeland be ordered to let franchises buy food and other products from alternative suppliers and make product specifications available to those suppliers.
