MIFFED: Airline cancellations have rattled state Sen. Marian Bergeson’s cage. She wants U.S. Transportation Secretary Samuel K. Skinner to stop airlines at John Wayne from canceling instead of merely delaying fog-bound flights so she can get to Sacramento on time. . . . Airline officials say they sacrifice John Wayne passengers in favor of customers elsewhere who use the same aircraft later that day. Says the Republican legislator from Newport Beach: “As one who is sacrificed, I resent that practice and will try to end it.”
