Megamates: Combine Jane Fonda and her media mogul fiance Ted Turner and you have People magazine’s “Power Couple of 1990.” The couple topped a list of megamates the magazine named in its Dec. 31 issue. Fonda and Turner went public with their wedding plans recently, saying they would be married in about a year. The couple rated highest in the survey based on categories including joint net worth, altruism, long-term relationship potential, public displays of affection, sex appeal and career ups and downs. Also included in the list of powerful pairs: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Schriver, Connie Chung and Maury Povich, Jane Pauley and Garry Trudeau, Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall, Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder and Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, among others.
