COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Davis Leads SCC to 10th Victory in Row

Elbert Davis scored 23 points as Southern California College defeated Bethel, Ind., 97-84, in a nonconference men’s basketball game Saturday at Southern California College.
It was the 10th consecutive victory for the Vanguards (13-2).
Davis got help from Mike Henjum and Mike West, who each scored 16 points for Southern California College (13-2).
Although Southern California College held a comfortable lead throughout the game, Ron Chrobot, who finished with 22 points, tried to rally Bethel (8-5) by connecting on five three-point goals.
In nonconference women’s basketball:
Occidental 83, Pacific Christian 34--Jacqui Dent scored 19 points for Occidental. Gina Atkins had eight points for host Pacific Christian (5-7).
