NEWPORT BEACH : Ex-Diplomat to Talk About War Outlook

Former diplomat William S. Caldwell will speak at 7 p.m. at the Newport Center Library, on the Gulf crisis.
Caldwell, 69, a Laguna Hills resident and adjunct professor at Chapman College, was a military intelligence officer during World War II and a diplomat in postwar Italy. He is vice president of the local United Nations Assn. chapter and operates a small political consulting firm.
No registration for the lecture is required. The library is at 856 San Clemente Drive.
