Christine R. Hanson has been named head of corporate communications and public affairs for MCA Inc., a newly created position. Hanson will oversee all of MCA’s media relations, and will report directly to President Sidney J. Sheinberg. Hanson joined MCA in 1974 and was appointed assistant corporate secretary in 1985. She handled much of the responsibility for press relations during MCA’s recent sale to Matsushita Electric Industrial Co.
