WAR IN BRIEF : THE NETHERLANDS : More Patriots Will Be Sent to Israel

The Dutch government said it will send Patriot missiles to Israel to help defend against Iraqi Scud missiles. A small technical team will accompany the Patriots to instruct the Israelis on how to use the eight missile launchers, a Defense Ministry spokesman said in The Hague. No date has been set for the departure of the equipment, he added. The Dutch have long been regarded as Israel’s closest allies in Europe.
