The review of the infamous “Yankee-bashing” Japanese book, “The Japan That Can Say No” (Jan. 20), was well done by Michael Lewis.
I obtained the original “for-Japanese-eyes-only” version, allegedly “pirated’ and translated by the Pentagon, from a computer bulletin board.
I continue to be amazed at the deftness with which the Japanese manipulate the facts. Of particular interest was the new-version allegation that Americans are Japan-bashing racists.
