Burbank Man Sought in Death

Los Angeles police said Monday they were looking for a Burbank man suspected of shooting to death his ex-wife’s boyfriend.
Robert Walton Elliott, 42, was hit several times on a Venice street Sunday and died an hour later at Santa Monica Hospital Medical Center, Sgt. Tom Gordon said. Authorities were searching for Bruce Arthur Rodgers, 40, the former husband of Elliott’s girlfriend.
Police said Elliott was walking with his girlfriend and her baby near Lincoln Boulevard and Commonwealth Avenue about 1:45 p.m. when Rodgers drove by in a pickup truck and fired several rounds from a shotgun.
“Apparently he had been waiting for them,” Lt. Ross Moen said.
