VTN Corp.: The Orange-based engineering and consulting firm reported third-quarter earnings of $733,542, up 33% from $549,895 in the year-earlier period. Revenue for the quarter ended Feb. 28 declined 11% to $2.4 million from $2.7 million. For the nine-month period, earnings totaled $1.6 million, down 16% from $1.9 million in the comparable period a year earlier. Revenue fell 15% to $7.4 million from $8.7 million. The company said earnings were down due to a weak first quarter.
