New Facilities, Approaches Needed in Water Crisis

The notion that growth should be curtailed in response to water shortages misses the point.
Water supply has emerged as the most critical factor affecting the controversial growth and prosperity of the state of California. Innovative, creative solutions to the water shortage, both in terms of supply options (more reservoirs, canals, pipelines) and demand options (conservation, drought-tolerant landscaping) must be implemented to maintain the state’s economic growth and high quality of life.
Let’s focus our efforts on finding solutions to the water shortage, not just looking for someone to blame.
