About 50 anti-abortion demonstrators held a sit-in outside an Inglewood women’s medical clinic Saturday, temporarily closing the facility, said Inglewood police and clinic officials.
No arrests were made, police said, and Operation Rescue protesters and the facility’s administrator called the demonstration at the American Women’s Medical Clinic peaceful. Demonstrators dispersed one at a time when police arrived, said Dave Luke , one of the protesters.
The demonstration began about 7 a.m. Pearl Green, the clinic’s administrator, said the facility “operated as usual” after the demonstrators began leaving between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
The clinic performs abortions and offers family planning services.
