With Tommy Maddox sitting out to avoid possible injury, redshirt freshman Wayne Cook got a good workout at quarterback during UCLA’s intra-squad scrimmage at Spaulding Field.

Only two touchdowns were scored in the 60-play scrimmage. Strong safety Travis Colier intercepted a pass thrown by Cook and ran 45 yards and wide receiver Paul Richardson and split end J.J. Stokes teamed on a 35-yard play.
