Kelley’s Book Seems to Have Everyone Talking
- Share via
Kitty Kelley’s new book, “Nancy Reagan: The Unauthorized Biography,” will be high in sales for only a few weeks (“Secret Days (and Nights) of the Reagans,” April 8, and “Dirty Dishing,” April 11).
Generally speaking, people are anxious to read any dirt or anything unfavorable written to dislodge Nancy Reagan from her very wobbly pedestal. Our former First Lady has never been popular, hard as the White House has tried. She is probably the most unpopular of all the first ladies and will be written up in history as such.
Please, we don’t want to read Patti Davis’ book, which she has suggested she will write. Enough has been said, and neither her story nor Kelley’s will be the real thing because there isn’t one.
