Birtcher Medical’s Profits Up 24%

Birtcher Medical Systems, the Irvine medical-equipment manufacturer, said its third-quarter earnings rose 24%, to $359,000 from $289,000 for the corresponding period last year. Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 increased 26%, to $7.8 million from $6.2 million.

For the nine-month period, the company had earnings of $1 million, contrasted with a year-earlier loss of $380,000. Revenue nearly doubled, to $22.8 million from $11.5 million.
