The yearbook staff of Orange High School was honored by the Orange Unified School District board last week for receiving a Pacemaker Award.
The award is presented annually by the National Scholastic Press Assn. to the top 10 high school publications in the country. The winners for the 1989-90 editions were announced earlier this month at the National Journalism Convention in Albuquerque.
The winning edition of the “Orange and White “ is a 336-page, hard-bound book produced by 25 students in the yearbook class. It was the only yearbook in Southern California to win a Pacemaker this year, said Diane Erickson, yearbook adviser. It is the first Pacemaker Award for Orange High.
