She’s Glad to Be Wrong About Insurers

What wonderful news to read that Holly Keuthan, the 5-year-old suffering from Ewing’s sarcoma, will have a chance at life (“Insurer Will Pay for Girl’s Operation After All,” April 23).
Initially, her story infuriated me because, as I saw it, some comfortable “execs” in some glass tower could “play God” with an innocent child.
I’m glad to be wrong. How human these Aetna Life Insurance decision makers must be to give Holly the chance she deserves and then let God himself “play God.” (I only hope their decision was based on purely humanitarian reasons.) It certainly is reassuring that insuring in this case is more than writing policies. Now we can do our part . . . and pray.
