Fairchild Corp. said Emanual Fthenakis will retire as president, chief operating officer and director, effective July 1. Fthenakis will also retire as chairman and chief executive of the Chantilly, Va.-based firm’s subsidiary, Fairchild Industries Inc. Chairman and Chief Executive Jeffrey J. Steiner will assume the additional title of president. Peter A. Marino, executive vice president of operations, will become chief operating officer. In addition, Marino has been nominated to the Fairchild board.
