South Pasadena : Construction Ban Extended
- Share via
A ban on most residential and commercial construction and renovation has been extended until next April 15 by the City Council.
The council voted 4 to 1 on Wednesday to continue the city’s moratorium on the issuance of building permits for most construction projects. Some renovations, including interior remodeling and earthquake reinforcement, are still permitted.
The moratorium was enacted 45 days ago to allow the city time to develop a design review ordinance.
Council members said that after the measure is adopted and a design review committee formed, they will lift the ban.
