Police Find Bomb While Searching Car

Police searching a car stopped for a possible narcotics violation in Hollywood found a small explosive device in the trunk Monday night and closed off Western Avenue to traffic for several blocks, authorities said.
“While searching the car, officers found an explosive device in the trunk” in addition to what appeared to be cocaine, Sgt. Art Miller said.
The area was cordoned off to traffic while the bomb squad investigated, but no homes or businesses were evacuated, Miller said. Two men in the car were being questioned, he said.
