Marines Killed in Crash Were Gulf Veterans

CAMP PENDLETON — Two Marines killed when their eight-wheeled armored vehicle plunged down a steep embankment were identified Thursday as veterans of the Persian Gulf War.
They were Cpl. David A. Holland, 25, of Rocky Mount, Va.; and Lance Cpl. Robert W. Deane, 19, of Silver Spring, Md. Neither was married and both are survived by their parents.
Slightly injured in the crash was Lance Cpl. Jason L. Church, 18, of Federal Way, Wash.
