In what authorities described as the Antelope Valley’s largest cocaine seizure, sheriff’s deputies arrested four men and confiscated 6.6 pounds of the drug worth $500,000 on the street after an undercover purchase in Palmdale.
Two of the suspects were arrested Tuesday afternoon at the Antelope Valley Mall in Palmdale after they received $125,000 for the drug, and the other two were arrested nearby the same day, deputies said.
Deputies said they did not disclose the arrests earlier because they were still investigating.
All four suspects pleaded innocent to drug charges Thursday in Antelope Municipal Court and were held in lieu of $750,000 bail each. They were identified as Mario Estrella, 37, and Juan Marcos, 26, both of Palmdale, and Francisco Savedra, 29, of Long Beach and Heriberto Gastelum, 21, a transient.
