In Defense of David, He Had an Excuse

Although David Letterman may be all bark and no bite, as you suggest in your Morning Briefing “All Talk” segment (June 26), in fairness to him it should be pointed out that if he accepted the Tucson Toros’ challenge, he would be pitching against a major league team but have a minor league defense playing behind him, and that was not a part of the deal! By the way, why didn’t he use that for an excuse?
