Back to Court? Comedian Rodney Dangerfield should receive $50,000 instead of a jury’s award of $500,000 for pain and suffering that resulted from an accident in a Caesars Palace steam bath that burned his eyes, a federal judge ruled. Judge Roger Foley last week called the amount awarded by a jury last September grossly excessive. He gave Dangerfield the option of taking $50,000 or facing a new trial. A spokesman for Dangerfield didn’t immediately know whether the comedian would accept the settlement.
