Nevada Casinos Pull In Record $5.41 Billion: Nevada casinos raked in a record $5.41 billion in fiscal 1990-91 as tourists flocked to the gambling Mecca of Las Vegas despite a national recession. The taxable gross revenue was up 10.2% over the prior year. In the final quarter of the just-ended fiscal year, the clubs showed a gain of 7.3% as gambling action slowed--especially in the Reno area.
