LAKE TAHOE — The remnants of a dying tropical storm brought heavy rain to parts of western Nevada and the Sierra on Thursday and triggered funnel clouds that produced rare waterspouts on Lake Tahoe.
The U.S. Coast Guard reported sighting eight waterspouts, mostly over the center part of the lake.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
