BEER TASTING
As always, I read with interest of your beer tasting (“What’s Brewing?” by Robert Lawrence Balzer, July 28) and, as always, wondered why Rainier Ale was not among the 70 “leading market contenders” tasted. I’ve long held the opinion that Rainier is the best domestic brew available.
Rainier isn’t to everyone’s taste. But surely it deserves a place among 70 beers tasted. The century-old Seattle ale must be the Rodney Dangerfield of beers--it don’t get no respect!
