Vinyl Records Forever?: The Beatles’ company Apple Corps. won a court ruling in London blocking multimillion-dollar plans by record industry giant EMI to release the group’s greatest hits on compact discs. Since their original release in 1973, the Beatles’ “Blue” and “Red” double albums with the best of the group’s songs have sold 20 million copies. EMI plans to appeal the ruling.
