Foreign Firms Have Big Bioscience Stake

SAN FRANCISCO — Foreign firms account for 59% of the $6.3 billion invested in Northern California biological-science businesses from 1975 to 1990, according to a new study.
However, the authors of the study said the industry has more to gain than lose from foreign investment.
