The 1991 Man and Woman of the Year in the Conejo Valley have been selected by the Chamber of Commerce.
Irish John Gore of Thousand Oaks and Dorothy Brockway of Westlake Village were honored at the chamber’s annual banquet Friday for contributing time and financial support to the community, Chamber of Commerce spokeswoman Ginny Woodward said.
Both are longtime residents of the Conejo Valley, active in service organizations and philanthropic endeavors, Woodward said.
Gore, a member of the Thousand Oaks Kiwanis Club, is known for his participation in Conejo Valley Days events and bike-a-thons, she said.
Brockway of the Westlake Womens’ Club has been active in the PTA, the Girl Scouts, the Cub Scouts and the March of Dimes, Woodward said.
Assemblyman Tom McClintock (R-Thousand Oaks) was master of ceremonies at the banquet.
