Your article on driving in Italy, “Those Italian Roads Can Really Drive You Crazy,” Aug. 11, while amusing was very misleading. The writer neglects to mention that there is a finite speed limit on the (Italian toll road) regardless of engine size. It is 130 kilometers (approximately 80 m.p.h.) maximum. Also, any travel writer should know that the plural of lira is lire .
