OXNARD : City Official to Take Yucaipa Post

Oxnard Assistant City Manager John Tooker will leave his post with the city at the end of the month to become city manager in Yucaipa.

Oxnard city officials said Tooker will be missed but were happy to see him move on to a higher position.

“No one wants to lose someone of John Tooker’s ability,” City Manager Vern Hazen said. “However, it does speak well of the city of Oxnard to generate this kind of superior talent. While his leaving will be a severe loss, it is a tribute to Oxnard’s work environment.”
