Granada Hills 14, Reseda 10--Tailback Raheem Kyle rushed for 134 yards in 24 carries and scored both of the Highlanders’ touchdowns at Reseda.
Kyle scored on runs of four yards and one yard in the second quarter, the latter coming with 13 seconds left in the half. He also had a 74-yard touchdown run nullified by penalty in the fourth quarter.
Reseda (2-2, 0-1) pulled to within 14-10 with 10:53 to play on a nine-yard touchdown run by tailback Henry McAlpine.
The Regents had a chance to take the lead with six minutes to go, but a fourth-down pass from the 12-yard line from quarterback Deon Edwards to Larry Trammel in the end zone fell incomplete. Granada Hills (2-1, 1-0) then ran out the clock.
McAlpine finished with 44 yards in 12 carries.
