Writers: Round 2

Harold Moseby’s letter last Sunday states that when my wife, Martha Coolidge, referred to me in Kirk Honeycutt’s article (Sept. 15) as “a screenwriter and computer graphics consultant” she was indulging some little fantasy of mine to be a writer.
I am a working screenwriter, and it angers me to have Moseby, a self-styled champion of the downtrodden scribe, use me as a target for some nonsensical rant on dilettantism.
If Moseby wishes to trade in his musty Underwood typewriter, I’m teaching a class in October at the American Film Institute on screenwriting with Macintosh computers. I will make sure he’s admitted gratis . He may even want to stick around for my computer graphics class.
